Summary

I have take a peak at 4 key areas that
appear to hold the keys for how the coming year will unfold. The two primary
indexes, precious metals and currency indexes. The technical aspects of all
four areas confirm that a cyclical bear market is at hand in the equity and
dollar currency markets and that that a cyclical long term bull market is
occurring in the precious metals. There is no indication that this will
change in the coming year although it is quite possible that even in the
midst of such a longer term view, the equity markets could experience an up
year if the declines that seem likely this year come early rather than
later. Knowing the long term view is something that you as a trader should
evaluate and store in the back of your mind as it is easy to get lost in the
day-to-day trading activities and not keep your trading portfolio
appropriated balanced. This past year, I turned to a lot of two sided
trading, especially in the latter half of the year to take advantage of the
volatility that was occurring. It certainly appears that such a trading
style will once again be needed for the year to unfold. |
